WASHINGTON, D.C. –Chairwoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY), Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), and Congressman Anthony G. Brown (D-MD) today announced that they filed an amendment to the fiscal year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) at the Committee on Rules that would give the District of Columbia mayor control over the D.C. National Guard. The committee determines which amendments will be allowed to be offered on the House floor to the bill.

Connolly, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations, sent a letter to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) requesting a pause on its proposal to revert ownership and control of the Bush Presidential Museum and educational spaces within the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum to the privately-run Bush Foundation
