Subcommittee Chair Krishnamoorthi to Host Baby Food Safety Press Conference with Sen. Klobuchar and Rep. Cárdenas

Washington, D.C. (Mar. 24, 2021)—On Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. E.T., Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, the Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform's Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy, will host a press conference with Senator Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Tony Cárdenas to discuss the "Baby Food Safety Act of 2021" with concerned parents who are advocating for stronger baby food safety standards.

On February 4, 2021, Subcommittee Chair Krishnamoorthi released a staff report revealing that baby foods are tainted with dangerous levels of toxic heavy metals that endanger infant neurological development and long-term brain function.

Chairman Krishnamoorthi and Senator Klobuchar will introduce the "Baby Food Safety Act of 2021" this week.
