Ranking Member Robert Garcia Statement on Forcing Subpoenas of Epstein Co-Conspirator Les Wexner & Epstein Estate Executors Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn

Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Robert Garcia, Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, secured subpoenas for Les Wexner, billionaire businessman and a long-time benefactor of Jeffrey Epstein, and Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, the executors of the Epstein estate, during an Oversight Committee hearing. The links to the text of the motions for the subpoenas can be accessed here and here.

“These subpoenas for the executors of Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, and billionaire benefactor Les Wexner, are an enormous step forward in our investigation to deliver justice for the survivors and truth for the American people. Oversight Democrats know how important it is to follow the money to identify anyone that enabled Epstein’s horrific abuses and illegal activities. We are now one step closer to ending this White House cover-up,” said Ranking Member Robert Garcia.

During a full committee hearing of the House Oversight Committee, Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna proposed several motions for subpoenas. In the interest of advancing the Epstein investigation, Ranking Member Garcia offered amendments to add subpoenas for several key targets in the Epstein investigation, which had not yet been issued by Chairman Comer. These included Les Wexner, Darren Indyke, and Richard Kahn. Congresswoman Luna supported the Garcia amendments.

Les Wexner is a billionaire businessman and a long-time benefactor of Jeffrey Epstein. Public reporting has documented their longstanding ties, including the fact Wexner paid for Epstein’s home in New York City. Additionally, Virginia Giuffre named Wexner in a deposition as one of the men she was trafficked to.

Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn were Jeffrey Epstein’s long-time lawyer and accountant. They are co-executors and beneficiaries of Epstein’s estate. Survivors have shared with the Committee that Indyke and Kahn knew about Epstein’s abuse and helped facilitate his crimes through their management of his legal and financial affairs.
