Oversight Committee to Mark Up Bills to Provide Paid Family Leave, Improve the Use of Artificial Intelligence, and Increase Federal Accountability

Washington, D.C. (July 16, 2021)—On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. ET, Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, the Chairwoman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, will hold a hybrid business meeting to consider bills that will provide comprehensive paid family leave for federal employees, increase accountability in the federal government, and improve the government's use of artificial intelligence.

The Committee will consider the following legislation:

  • H.R. 564, the Comprehensive Paid Leave for Federal Employees Act

  • H.R. 1508, the Guidance Clarity Act
  • H.R. 2994, the Accountability for Acting Officials Act
  • H.R. 3533, "To establish occupational series for Federal positions in software development, software engineering, data science, and data management"
  • H.R. 4125, the Keep the Watchdogs Running Act
  • H.R. 4393, "To require the Directors of the Courts Services and Offender Supervision Agency of the District of Columbia and the District of Columbia Pretrial Services Agency to reside in the District of Columbia"
  • The Administrative Law Judge Competitive Service Restoration Act
  • The Artificial Intelligence for Agency Impact Act
  • The AI in Counterterrorism Oversight Enhancement Act
  • The National Strategy for the Global Information Domain Act
  • The Federally Funded Research and Technology Development Protection Act
  • The Made in America Pandemic Preparedness Act
  • Several postal naming measures.
