***MEDIA ADVISORY*** House Democrats Respond to Trump's Failure to Address Conflicts of Interest and Ethical Lapses WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Rep. John Sarbanes, Chair of the Democracy Reform Task Force and Rep. Katherine Clark will hold a press conference in response to President-elect Donald J. Trump's announcement that he will not divest from his businesses or enter his assets into a blind trust. The American public has every right to demand a more comprehensive plan to address the litany of conflicts facing the incoming Trump Administration. House Democrats are taking steps to identify and guard against President-elect Trump's conflicts – which present a real threat to the public interest and can inflict real harm to the American people.
