Katko, Cummings Reintroduce Bipartisan Legislation to Place Harriet Tubman on $20 Bill

Washington, D.C. (September 8, 2017)Today, U.S. Representatives John Katko (NY-24) and Elijah Cummings (MD-7) today renewed their bipartisan effort to honor the life of Harriet Tubman—introducing The Harriet Tubman Tribute Act, which would require the Secretary of the Treasury to place Harriet Tubman's likeness on the $20 bill beginning in 2020. Cummings and Katko introduced similar legislation in June 2015.
