Chairman Cummings Opening Statement-Census Subpoenas

PURPOSE

A resolution offered by Chairman Elijah E. Cummings authorizing the Chairman to issue subpoenas to Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General John Gore to testify, and Attorney General William P: Barr and Secretary of Commerce Wilbur L. Ross, Jr. for records, in connection with the Committee's investigation into the addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 Census. 

A resolution offered by Chairman Elijah E. Cummings authorizing the Chairman to subpoena former White House Personnel Security Director Carl Kline to testify in connection with the Committee's investigation into the security clearance process at the White House.
