Carolyn Maloney, the Acting Chairwoman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives voted 232 to 196 to adopt a resolution that provides a clear path forward as the House enters the next phase of the inquiry, including open hearings:

"My Republican colleagues have argued that we should not be having closed-door depositions, but instead should be having public hearings.
